CCCC Casey fields criterium Saturday 25th August: MUcyc rider Alon Cassuto opened the season for himself and MUcyc with a 6th place debut in C grade. Fighting for the sprint Alon made a valiant fight for the podium falling just short. Cassuto is said to be in talks with professional team Liquigas [ed: read 'Leaky Gas'] on the back of his strong performance at Casey fields. In truth Alon is a strong prospect for the season with his early form suggesting he will be at the pointy end of B grade or even punching it with the A graders as the season moves on. Alon will be looking for victory at his next race in the coming weeks

Sun morning- St Kilda Crit 23 March/Easter
B grade: Billy Rebakis entered, but did not finish after a nasty smash which left bone poking out… Apparently bones are better left under skin… Who knew?
C grade: Leo Zhang got his sprint on following a big smash on the back straight, and pulled second place. Nicholas Harvey valiantly attacked early with a break away, and managed 5th place.
D grade: Jeremy Poon smashed his opposition with a second place here despite bike trouble earlier this week. “It is not about the bike”… Johnno Katsanos blitzed the field early with a solo break, but was sucked back into the field…
E grade: Welcome aboard Cicely Silow from Sydney Uni – pulled a 5th in E grade after winding out big K’s this week. Watch this space for further racing development from this keen girl!
Photos up soon hopefully!
