Coaching Session 2: Mitch Anderson – Thurs 30th Oct 1pm
12 10 2008
Thanks to all who attended our first presentation by Ironman Mitch Anderson on Fri 17th. The well received first session took us through the basics of VO2 and LT, as well as a how to on building a base as well as working on your lactic threshold.
Come along and join us on the second and final part of this lecture series, aimed at maximising your potential and hitting your goals.
This seminar will be led by Mitch Anderson, prominent Australian Ironman and alumnus of the University of Melbourne, who will take us through a presentation, as well as a Q&A session to provide an authoritive and qualified answer to all your training/fitness questions.
The second session will cover nutrition among other things, and will again be held at the Howard Florey Institute at the University of Melbourne, Thursday at 1pm. We will have someone at ground level to guide guests inside the institute to the lecture theatre, so attendence on time is essential.
Cost for MUcyc members will be $10 for the hour.

Hey guys and girls – keen on racing? With the road season now under way, MUCYC would like to find keen riders to race and represent us in road races… One of the big ones coming up is the Tour of Coleraine (Tour of Southern Grampians) which consists of two days racing; a 9.2km time trail followed by either a 72.2km road stage (C and D grades) or a 97.0km road stage (A and B) for day one, and a 66km road stage for all grades followed by a criterium (women/D 10 laps, C 15 laps, B 20 laps, A 25 laps) on day two.
Please express interest by leaving a post on the racing page, or by contacting a committee member – it would be good to see some MUCYC representation at these road events!
